It’s been a strange couple of days, we’ve helped the city with downed trees, blocked roads, and helped the community out. A lot of us still don’t have power so make sure you check on your neighbors, elders, and at-risk community members. Be safe out there and Have a Merry Christmas!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

As we are on our 4th of July weekend, I want to remind everyone to be safe out there and remember to only light fireworks in designated areas.

Even though the fire danger is posted as moderate for our area, the last few days have been extremely hot and dry which increases the possibility of wildfires. So once again, please be aware of your surroundings and only light fireworks where they are aloud, and please share this information with yor friends, family, and neighbors so everyone can celebrate the 4th July without any injuries or wildfires.

While having fun with your loved ones this weekend, remember to take the opportunity to educate your children on the safety and dangers of fireworks.

Thank you, and I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday weekend.

The closed fire season extension is set to be rescinded on Friday, November 1st @ 0800. This means closed fire season will end and individuals will no longer be required to obtain a burn permit for outdoor burning.

10/10/2024

Historically, October 10th has marked the end of the fire season. However, due to the extremely dry conditions the Idaho Department of Lands has extended the fire season for an undetermined date and burn permits are required.
