GREAT NEWS FOR EARLY VOTING IN GRIMES COUNTY

After hearing from many Precinct 2 voters about the need for a more convenient early voting location for the Plantersville and Todd Mission communities, I was proud to successfully sponsor action by Commissioners Court this week to expand early voting to additional locations in Grimes County beginning in November 2026.

This action is intended to provide an additional early voting location to serve the Plantersville and Todd Mission communities, and a second site to better serve northern Grimes County.

Expanding access to early voting helps make participation in our elections more convenient for citizens across our county. I appreciate the Court’s support in taking this important step for Grimes County voters.

THANK YOU to all of our campaign supporters who graciously allowed signs to be placed at your homes.

Since the runoff election is not until May 26, we will be removing most of our campaign signs for now to give our community a short break from campaign sign fatigue.

If you would like to keep a sign on your property, or would like one placed for the runoff election, please feel free to call or text me at 936-242-7165.

We will begin placing signs again as we get closer to the runoff election.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮! to my friends and neighbors across Grimes County Precinct 2!!!

On Tuesday night we came just 𝟔𝟔 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟔𝟖𝟗 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟒𝟓.𝟔% 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞! I am incredibly grateful for every person who took the time to vote, volunteer, share a post, offer encouragement, or simply stop and visit along the campaign trail.

Your support means more than you know.

Because no candidate reached the required 50%, the race now moves to a runoff election between myself and the second-place finisher.

So we keep going.

Over the past three years, I have worked every day to serve the people of Precinct 2 — maintaining our roads, supporting our first responders, helping local families, and being accessible to the citizens of Grimes County.

𝐈 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤.

And the work is not finished.

Over the coming weeks, we will continue visiting with voters across Precinct 2 and sharing the progress we have made together — and the work that still lies ahead.

Meet Hobo, Dodger, & Daisy.
Dumped on the streets of Plantersville in 2024 & 2025—homeless, starving, and scared.
Tonight, they are safe, warm, and fed.

In June 2020, we started Grimes County Pets & Animals as a support network for the Grimes County animal rescue community. Since then, this group has helped assist with the placement, adoption, and rescue of hundreds of animals across Grimes County.

Through this group, many animals found safety, fosters, rescues, and forever homes—including the three dogs and nine cats that were rescued off our local streets and adopted into our home after being dumped and abandoned.

This is what community looks like.
