At our recent City Council meeting, the City of Plantation recognized several organizations, causes and awareness efforts making an impact in our community and beyond.
📜 Kiwanis Club of Plantation’s 60th Anniversary — celebrating six decades of service, volunteerism and commitment to children, families and the Plantation community.
📜 National Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 14–20 — recognizing the importance of diaper access and the work of organizations such as the Greater Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank in supporting local families.
📜 Sickle Cell Awareness Month — recognizing Shak’s Hope Foundation and its work supporting individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease while continuing the legacy of Shakira Martin.
📜 Hunger Action Month — raising awareness of hunger and food insecurity and recognizing organizations such as Feeding South Florida for providing nutritious food, resources and support throughout our community.
