At last nights fire meeting, we took the opportunity to refresh/learn some new skills. It’s nearly impossible to train for every scenario in a motor vehicle accident, but to be able to stage them in different ways helps your mind to instantly remember anchor points to stabilize a vehicle in order to make it safe to extract an occupant. Thank you Nachreiner Auto Care LLC for always doing our set up and creating different scenarios. Nice job to all involved it was warm 🥵

Behind every siren is a team willing to run toward the emergency when everyone else is running away.

These EMS supporter shirts help show appreciation for the dedication, sacrifice, and heart our EMS crew brings every single day. Whether you’ve needed Plain EMS before or simply want to support us, this shirt is a meaningful way to stand behind us.

Proceeds of this shirt sale will go towards additional equipment to provide advanced emergency patient care and gear for our crew.

https://sportsworld.chipply.com/PlainEMS2026

This online store will run until June 18th. The shirts will ship to the Plain Fire Station for free and available for pickup around the week of July 13th. Just in time to wear at the 2026 Plain Fire & EMS 3 Day Celebration! There is an option for shipping for a fee, so please pay attention to that when checking out.

Again, we are so thankful for all of the support we receive!

Seeing stuff like this in the paper really drives home just how important the mission of the YES program is. We are trying to not only raise awareness but facilitate the next generation of first responders.
These kids, the members of YES are the solution to a growing problem in rural communities.
They are going to be the ones answering the call and making positive changes in the culture of first response.
Here’s to the next generation making an impact in a time that needs these next gen first responders more than ever.

Our crew is on-call and ready to help; We hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy some nice weather and relax this holiday weekend!

Did you know, immediate CPR can double or triple the chance of survival from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest? Do you know what to do if someone collapses in front of you? First, call 911 to get us on the way! It takes us about five minutes to get rolling out the door once you call, so your immediate help is crucial! If the person doesn't have a pulse, press hard and fast on the center of their chest until we get there, and ask a friend to help if they can!

Find out more about bystander CPR here: https://cpr.heart.org/en/resources/bystander-cpr

We are always willing to show you how - message us here if you'd like to receive in-person coaching. You just never know!

Benefits of performing CPR far outweigh the risk. So don’t wait for someone else to step up. Learn and do CPR. You might even save someone you love.

Today marks the start of EMS Week, a time to honor the dedication of EMS clinicians and recognize their life-saving work and the good they do in our communities. How lucky are we, to have the team of individuals we do, that are willing to drop everything at a moments notice to answer the call, simply because they just want to help. They show up time after time, to be the brightest light on your darkest day. We truly have something special here and are so fortunate for each and every one of our members.

Happy EMS Week to all of our dedicated volunteers and all of our EMS brothers and sisters. Thank you for your commitment!

This time it wasn’t the pager they got up and ran for! This morning, Teagan, Nate and TJ participated in the Race for Grace First Responder Challenge, a fundraiser for the Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination which works to fund cancer research, education, and to assist cancer patients. GRACE helps people fighting cancer pay bills for medication, house payments, utilities, travel expenses, and so much more. We are proud of our representation and to support this organization!
