Today, we proudly celebrate **National Firefighter Day** and take a moment to recognize the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our incredible firefighters here at the Jenkins Township Fire Department and our mutual aid departments.

Every call answered, every life protected, and every risk taken reflects a deep commitment to serving our community. Whether it’s responding to emergencies, educating the public, or supporting one another like family, our firefighters embody true bravery and selflessness.

We also remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their legacy continues to inspire us every day.

To all members—past and present—thank you for your unwavering service. And to our community, thank you for your continued support.

Stay safe, and help us in showing appreciation for the heroes who stand ready 24/7.

Today, some of our firefighters took advantage of the nice weather by doing some training. Firefighters used a forcible entry prop to simulate gaining access into a structure. Thank you to City of Pittston Bureau of Fire for allowing the use of the training door.
