Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club

Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club Our members strive to live up to Rotary's motto "Service above Self".

The members of our Rotary Club have been making a difference in the lives of our community and the world since 1952 while socializing, building relationships, yet having fun. There is a second motto in Rotary that is not quoted as frequently "They profit most who serve best". If you would like to learn more about the requirements for membership or to be a guest speaker at one of our Thursday lunch meetings please e-mail me at [email protected] or call 412-722-3102.

Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club Makes Chartiers Park Story Walk Sign Possible

Thanks to a generous donation from the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club, visitors to Chartiers Park will now be welcomed by a new trailhead sign marking the entrance to the Story Walk Trail. The sign was recently installed by the Bridgeville Public Works Department.

This project builds upon a successful partnership between the Borough of Bridgeville and the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club that originally established the Story Walk along the Chartiers Park Trail. Since its creation, the Story Walk has become a unique and valued feature of the park, providing children and families with an opportunity to combine literacy, imagination, and outdoor recreation. The stories featured along the trail are regularly provided by the Bridgeville Public Library, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience for visitors throughout the year.

The Story Walk encourages families to explore the park while enjoying the playgrounds, walking trails, and many other amenities available at Chartiers Park. The new trailhead sign further enhances this experience by creating a welcoming and easily identifiable entrance to the Story Walk. It will also help draw attention to the attraction from park visitors, including those attending baseball games and other events, who may not have otherwise discovered this special feature.

The Borough of Bridgeville is grateful to the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club for its continued commitment to projects that enrich our community and create meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy our parks and public spaces.

What do real estate experts, stonemasons, and Rotarians have in common?

A big commitment to building a stronger community. 💙

SHIM is grateful for the support of , Mariani & Richards Inc, and the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club. Whether helping families find homes, guiding people through home repairs, or rolling up their sleeves in service to others, each of these organizations makes our community better in its own way.

We’re thankful to partner with people who believe neighbors should look out for one another — and who put that belief into action every day. Find out how your business can get involved by contacting Rachel at [email protected].

Such a great annual project by the Chartiers Valley School District Interact Club. Grateful for the opportunity to support their efforts and the positive impact they continue to make in the community!

The Interact Club recently completed their Project Linus service project. With the generosity of Bridgeville Rotary, they made 20 blankets that will be donated to children in the United States, who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need.

For the past several years, our Rotary Club has been proud to partner with Chartiers Valley School District and South Fayette Township School District to recognize students who go above and beyond in their schools and communities.

Each month, the schools identify students who stand out for their effort, leadership, and character. Then once each quarter, we host a lunch to celebrate them. During the event, school leaders share more about the students, what they have accomplished, and why they were selected for this recognition.

Congratulations to these outstanding Students of the Month for November, December, and January! We are always impressed by the character and accomplishments of these young leaders!

The Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club has donated a $6,900 picnic table with a solar-powered charging station for Morgan Park in South Fayette Township.

Parks and recreation director Paula Wills, left, thanked Rotary president Bill Paviol this fall. The gift was funded by the club's charitable dollars and the Rotary International Foundation.

"We're always happy to keep our donations local," Paviol said.

The table has benches, a space for a wheelchair and an umbrella-shaped shade structure with solar panels that power plugs and a wireless smartphone charging station. Similar tables are located at the splash pad in Fairview Park.
