Fantastic to see the first of over a dozen new park scoreboards go up! Chadwick Park's scoreboard in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar was replaced thanks to our partnership with the Pennsylvania Laborers' District Council!

For too long our CitiParks neighborhood fields have had nonfunctioning scoreboards - or none at all. This is a great investment in local youth sports!

The severe storm has caused dangerous conditions across the city - please be safe and use caution.

Significant rainfall from the severe thunderstorm has created flooding conditions and brought down trees and power lines in several areas of the city.

Public Safety is standing up all of its assets in the event of high water rescues if needed.

Motorists please avoid flooded roads - it only takes 12 inches of rushing water to carry away cars, double that amount, 24 inches, for trucks and SUVs.

It is NEVER safe to walk or drive into flood waters. Please heed all barriers, they are there for your safety.

Turn around, don't drown!

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire is getting 13 new fire trucks!

Today, we announced that we ordered 8 new custom engine/pumper trucks and 5 new custom ladder/aerial trucks thanks to Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield's capital investment of $20 million over the next five years.

This is an important shared commitment to our firefighters and the health and safety of all Pittsburghers.
