Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every student is a top priority for both the Avonworth School Board and our administration. We take this responsibility seriously—addressing safety from both physical and mental health perspectives.

During my current term, we've expanded services like Care Solace, Safe2Say, and No Phones to support student wellbeing, and we've approved key building enhancements to strengthen physical safety. These efforts are part of a broader system of proactive and reactive measures, all outlined on our School Safety page (https://www.avonworth.k12.pa.us/departments/school-safety).

We hear you. Community members have shared safety concerns with board members and administration, and we want you to know: our administration is always open to dialogue and serves as the primary contact for safety-related issues. As board members, we listen and ensure your concerns are communicated and addressed.

I look forward to continuing to work together to keep Avonworth safe, strong, and supportive.

THE MISSION is to STRENGTHEN the Avonworth School Board by contributing their diverse knowledge and unique experiences in service to the Avonworth School District and community.

In 2025, the ACCU is endorsing four candidates who offer unique perspectives and backgrounds that complement the current Avonworth School Board.

These candidates were selected for the following reasons:
1. Several candidates have children in the younger grades representing a younger demographic that expands the audience which board members routinely connect with.
2. Multiple candidates bring first-hand experience with trades, community college, & career options broadening the boards’ perspectives on all student options upon graduation.
3. Several candidates bring experiences in areas like operations, strategic planning, contract negotiations, and tech policy which are unique to the current board.
4. All of these candidates support a vision of belonging where all kids, no matter their background, situation or needs, will experience a school environment of acceptance at Avonworth so that all students thrive socially and academically.
