I can never say enough on the work the Millvale Borough Police Department does for our town and surrounding areas. As great as it is to hear of this accomplishment, it hurts knowing that someone wanted to take their life.

The Gavel has been transferred.
Tonight at the Borough Council meeting, Council President Jim Machjewski resigned the Presidency and turned the gavel over to the Newly appointed Council President Denise Rudar.
Congratulations Denise on the appointment and Thank You President Machajewski for your dedication to the borough and all of your hard work.

The Millvalean Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce Madison Dembowski as our 2026 Millvalean! Throughout her years at Shaler Area High School, Madison has successfully balanced academic excellence, service to others and athletics --- proving she is both strong and resilient! She observed first-hand patient care in countless healthcare settings and her keen leadership skills were honed coordinating community efforts and fundraising events to benefit others in need. Madison’s heart is definitely in the right place! Madison truly understands the needs of others and steps up to help. She is a life-long resident of Millvale and has a very bright future ahead of her! On Thursday, May 17 Madison received a $5,600 scholarship at Shaler Area High School’s Senior Awards Ceremony. She will attend Duquesne University in the Accelerated Physician’s Assistant Program. Congratulations and best wishes to Madison Dembowski as our 2026 Millvalean!

The Millvalean Scholarship Committee also awarded a 2026 Book Stipend in the amount of $1,000 to Rose Molnar. Rose demonstrated dedication to the Millvale Gardens and weekly community service activities for nearly 10 years through Girl Scouts of America. She achieved academic excellence in both AP and Honors courses and has been recognized for her significant contributions to the Shaler Area Marching Band and Orchestra. Rose is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. Congratulations and best wishes to Rose Molnar!

Congratulations to the Shaler Area Titans Softball team for a tremendous season capping it off with the State Championship. Your hard effort, dedication and teamwork was on full display during this season, and we could not be prouder of our School Districts State Champions.

This Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the courageous service members who gave their lives in defense of our country. This solemn day of remembrance allows us to reflect on the price of freedom and the remarkable bravery of those who sacrificed their lives to safeguard it.
