Please join us in congratulating Vaughn Turner!

Vaughn, 18, demonstrated exceptional awareness and responsibility when he saw an unattended 4-year-old boy in a parked vehicle while heading into work at the YMCA. He immediately reported the situation, helping ensure the child was safely cared for.

In recognition of his actions, Vaughn was presented with a Certificate of Commendation from the Piscataway Township Mayor Wahler and Piscataway Township Police Department.

We know it’s tempting to help, but a quiet fawn alone is usually right where mom left it. Mother deer leave their babies resting while they feed nearby, then come back when it’s safe. Please do not call 911 for a quiet fawn. If the fawn appears injured, unresponsive, or in true distress, contact our non-emergency number 732-562-1100 🦌
