This legislative session, I was pleased to propose commendations honoring Grambling State University's anniversaries. I proudly passed one commendation honoring Tiger Athletics for its enduring legacy of athletic excellence and its contributions to the Southwestern Athletic Conference, state of Louisiana, and nation. A second honors the "World Famed" Tiger Marching Band and its outstanding contributions to music, education, culture, and the proud heritage of the state of Louisiana. Those 100-year anniversaries are only bested by the institution's overall 125-year anniversary.
