12:00 Stephanie Kohler, Soundbath
* Join Pine Lake councilperson, musician, and all round awesome human for a relaxing soundbath to start the Celebration. Starts right at noon, come on time, come ready to receive!

1:30 pm Wild Angels: smooth country harmonies with Emily Backus and friends. Emily Backus is a teacher and musician in Atlanta, GA, whose projects include pop-rock outfit Mom Friend and country trio Wild Angels.

3:00 Diane Durrett & Friends: Diane Durrett is an internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, and author based in Atlanta, Georgia, known for her raw, soulful vocals and authentic American Roots, Blues, and Soul music.

A dozen of them will be at LakeFest on October 11-12, along with lots of new artists and favorites from LakeFests past. October is LakeFest season in Pine Lake. We are excited to have artists from all over Georgia coming to Pine Lake to show and sell their handmade work at LakeFest! Meet new artists and see new work by some of your favorites from Americus, Atlanta, Buford, Clarkston, Conyers, Cu***ng, Decatur, East Point, Ellenwood, Gainesville, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Marietta, Sandy Springs, Smyrna, Tucker, Snellville, Stone Mountaiin, and of course, Pine Lake! Former Pine Laker Leslee Hare will return from Birmingham, Alabama to be in the marketplace. Spend the weekend of October 11-12 in Pine Lake!

Attention Pine Lakers: It's LakeFest Community Art Project Time! We are reviving a fun LakeFest tradition and want your art represented at the festival! Our community project celebrates the fact that we are all artists in Pine Lake. Pick up instructions and precut mats and cards from plastic bags now on the bulletin boards by the lake. Decorate the card using your favorite media and return it to 526 Pine Drive by October 6th. (Keep in mind our outdoor installation may get wet, so use paints, materials and glue that will stand up to moisture.) If you have any questions, contact Barbara Whitlow (843-245-4298). The LakeFest Team invites you to come to the Beach House on Sunday afternoon, August 3rd at 3:00 p.m. for a musical extravaganza featuring the DeLuxe Vaudeville Orchestra! They are a six-piece band featuring accordion, banjo, euphonium, washtub bass and violin (!) plus local vocalist Janet Metzger. They’ll perform their signature tunes, from tangos to Sousa to favorites from the Great American Songbook, interspersed with clowning antics of Tim Setimi’s juggling and other random acts of mayhem. Noted poet Debra Hiers will open the show. The performance is free; donations will benefit LakeFest and the Vaudeville Orchestra. Congratulations to Leslee Hare, winner of the 2025 LakeFest Logo Contest! Many of you may remember Leslee, a former Pine Lake artist, who moved away several years ago, but still keeps Pine Lake in mind and heart. She brought her paintings to LakeFest 2023 and we hope to see her again at LakeFest 2025! Meanwhile, you'll be seeing her logo on the festival website, posters, and on our fabulous LakeFest T-shirts!
