Hello everyone! I have been in contact with Meta support for a few weeks now trying to change the name of my page to reflect my new business name. After jumping through many hoops and contacting them numerous times, they have informed me this morning that my request has been denied. Unfortunately, this means that I can no longer use this page. They also informed me that the page cannot be deleted or deactivated at this time, I simply need to create a new page. I feel that this may be confusing for some, but seems to be my only option at this point. Thank you to everyone who has liked and followed so far! I will no longer be active here and have officially created a new page, so please find me over at Gentle Start Doula Care 💗

This is the day that inspired me to become a doula ✨

I never had a strong desire to follow a certain career path, but, from a very young age, I was sure of one thing- I wanted to be a mom. I often dreamed of the day I would have a tiny human calling me “mama”. I never gave much thought to what my birth would look like though. I certainly didn’t see myself switching from a planned hospital birth to a birth center at 32 weeks. I wouldn’t necessarily say I feared birth, but I definitely didn’t view it as something that I would ever look back on fondly. How could I, when all I had really seen/heard were stories that made birth seem traumatic and scary? I now know that birth can, and should, be quite the opposite. My son’s birth was a beautiful, intense and truly transcendent experience. It transformed me in ways I never would have expected. It also ignited a fire within me to serve others as they transition from maiden to mother.

I believe that every woman deserves to feel as empowered, safe and supported as I felt on this day 💗
