This funding will be used to purchase bunker gear, helping ensure our department is better equipped to serve the Knottsville community. Big things are happening at the Knottsville Fire Department! Our parking lot was facing some major issues and beginning to fail to hold up the weight of our engines. This project is a much needed, major improvement for our station. We would like everyone to know that our responses will not be affected by the project. Our trucks have been moved to a secondary location and we are fully operational. Throughout the entire project we will be able to provide the same protection our community needs!

The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is at the station until 7:00pm for our blood drive! Come out and help stock up blood for the summer! When you donate blood, you save three lives! We hope to see you there!

Thanks to Randy Lanham with Volunteer Owensboro and Sheriff Brad Youngman for coming out to the station and being good sports for a friendly competition! I guess we now know what deputies do in their free time, dress up as firemen! If becoming a volunteer firefighter is something that you or someone you know may be interested in, please reach out to us!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported us yesterday! Our fundraiser was a huge success! Thank you to all of our sponsors, members, and everyone who came out and bought chickens and made donations! We could not do what we do without you all! Thank you for your continued support of Knottsville Fire Department. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps us to obtain tools and equipment to keep us safe and serve our community better!

Knottsville Fire Department will be selling BBQ chickens tomorrow at the fire station. Chickens will be $15 each and will be ready around 11:00am. The will be sold first come, first serve! All proceeds go towards the purchase of PPE and equipment! Thank you for your continued support of our organization! We can’t wait to see you there!
