Cliveden staff wish to thank all the neighbors and other community members who reached out to express concern over the accident at the front gate on Germantown Avenue last week. On Wednesday morning, a vehicle exiting the property did not have clearance to make it through the gate and unfortunately hit the wrought iron header, bringing down the stone piers flanking the opening. This is a good opportunity to remind stakeholders that driving on the Cliveden property is not permitted without approval from staff. Until further notice, we must keep the gate secured with temporary fencing, so that entrance will not be open, however the property will be open and can be accessed through the gate on Cliveden Street. The gate, header and stone piers will be restored as soon as arrangements can be made.
