Great to meet with SEPTA General Manager Scott Sauer this morning to discuss the state of the system, strategies to increase revenue, and the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Scott and I will continue to meet and work together to ensure that SEPTA remains a dependable, reliable, and vital economic and operational engine for the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

I’m proud to co-sponsor legislation that would provide long overdue cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) for retired first responders. It’s a commonsense way to honor our commitment to those who dedicated their lives to public service, and I hope Harrisburg will take action to get it done.

Great meeting with leaders of Calvary Athletic Association and hearing about the work they’re doing to support kids and families in our community.

Thank you to Brian Bearl, the board members, and all of the volunteers who give their time to make opportunities like this possible. I’m also grateful to Councilmember Brian O’Neill for his continued support and commitment to helping this treasured neighborhood organization thrive. 🏈⚾

After 50 years in education, including 35 years at Saint Hubert, Mr. Schafer has certainly earned a well-deserved retirement!

I was proud to present him with a citation in recognition of a career spent making a difference in the lives of generations of students. His impact on Saint Hubert and the Northeast will be felt for years to come.

Congratulations, Mr. Schafer, and thank you for everything you’ve given to your students and school community.

I was honored to join the community for the renaming of Wissinoming Park in memory of Marge Tartaglione. Her dedication to Philadelphia left a lasting impact on generations of residents.

Proud to support my friend and colleague, Senator Tina Tartaglione, as we celebrated her mother’s legacy and a name that will forever be part of our community.

The presence of deteriorating, vacant, or abandoned properties and neglected lots creates a cascading decline across our neighborhoods. It's profound effects impact our local economy public safety, physical environment, and resident well-being. I, like many of you, have gone past the vacant Lukoil station at 9100 Frankford Avenue and saw a parcel covered in trash, graffiti, and overgrown grass/weeds.
This is not acceptable, so I promptly contacted my colleagues Thomas Conway and John Horvay of the Community Life Improvement Program (CLIP), who immediately sent a crew to abate this blighted parcel.
I am proud to serve Northeast Philadelphia and work with wonderful partners like John, Tom, and their dedicated team at CLIP to help our neighborhoods beautiful, clean, and safe. Plesse contact my Chief of Staff, Marc Collazzo, [email protected], should you know of similar properties in our District that need assistance and attention.
