On behalf of the Penndel Police Officers, who work to keep the Borough of Penndel a safe place to live and do business, we would like to thank you for your support to the Penndel Borough Police Benevolent Association. Penndel Borough Police Benevolent Association is an independent employee association representing the Officers of Penndel Borough Police Department. Our organization consists of eight sworn police officers who care about the community that they protect and serve.

Penndel Borough Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of part-time Police Officer.

Applicants must possess a current Act 120 certification, high school diploma or equivalent, valid PA driver’s license, prior law enforcement experience preferred but not required. Applicants with experience are preferred but not required.

Penndel, like many other municipalities in the area, will be participating in the semi-annual Drug Take Back. This is an opportunity to dispose of unused or unwanted medications in a safe and controlled manner. An officer will be at the Station from 10 AM to 2 PM to collect your medications.

🚫 New Ordinance Alert (2026-01)

Penndel Borough has enacted new rules regulating open burning to protect public health and safety.

🔥 Open burning is generally prohibited, with limited exceptions for small cooking, recreational, or approved fires.
❌ Burning trash, plastics, tires, treated wood, and hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
⚠️ All permitted fires must be attended, controlled, and follow safety guidelines (distance, weather conditions, equipment).
💵 Violations may result in fines up to $1,000, possible imprisonment, or both.

The Falls Township Youth Police Academy, held 8 days from July 13-July 23, is a great resource to learn about police operations, including SWAT, K9, the court system and more! This program is designed for students (grades eighth- through 12th) who are interested in pursuing a career in the law enforcement field.

Mayor Sodano has declared a snow emergency for the upcoming storm. Beginning Sunday at noon to Monday at noon. Please remove your cars from roadways and allow plows to access the snow emergency routes. Not sure which streets are affected? Please see the below information.
