We are the Philadelphia chapter of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression.

We are a Black-led organization fighting for community control of the police. We defend against racist police violence and political repression in Philly.

PAARPR will be participating in the Radical Contingent of the May Day event at City Hall @ 4pm. Join us after for a social from 6 pm to 8 pm at . Come hang out and unwind with some cool comrades and we discuss how to advance the labor movement in Philly forward. Refreshments will be served!

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the unjust murder of Aaron Rainey. Aaron was shot six times and killed for the harmless act of seeking help while experiencing a mental health breakdown. Someone wanting treatment after experiencing an episode doesn’t deserve to be treated with any kind of harsh violence, much less death.

A year has passed without the light, the humor and the presence of a loving son, brother, husband, cousin, uncle, and friend. While his family has been stuck fighting for answers and justice, the Philadelphia Police Department and District Attorney Larry Krasner insist on not only erasing Aaron Rainey from memory, but on protecting the two police officers who committed this heinous act.

A year is too long for silence, and a year is too long for inaction. Join Aaron Rainey’s family and the Philadelphia Alliance against Racist and Political Repression in the fight for justice and may the memory of Aaron Rainey live on forever.

Last Friday, PAARPR had our first event at our new space ! Thanks to everyone who popped in to learn about our work and catch some of Judas and the Black Messiah to commemorate Black History Month!

100 years of Black history is a record of survival under police violence.

From lynch mobs with badges
to modern police killings with body cams,
the system has protected itself—not our people.

We honor the victims of police crimes.
We stand with their families.
We refuse the lie that justice comes from the same institutions that do the harm.

Justice means accountability.
Justice means community control of the police.
Justice means power in the hands of the people most impacted.

This is not symbolic remembrance.
This is a demand.

No more stolen lives.
No more cover-ups.
No more policing without consent.

Community control is Black history.
Justice for the victims is the future.

GOVERNOR SHAPIRO: STOP WORKING WITH ICE!

On Saturday, PAARPR members joined hundreds in single digit temperatures to protest PA Governor Josh Shapiro’s book signing for his compliance with the Trump administration and cooperation with ICE. Several counties across PA have agreements that allow ICE access to their facial recognition data and train police officers to act as immigration enforcement.

In the wake of the murders of Renee Good, Keith Porter, and Alex Pretti, we say ICE OUT OF OUR STATE!!!

In the militant anti racist and anti imperialist tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King, we are uniting with other progressive and revolutionary organizations in Philadelphia to engage in collective education on the life and legacy of Dr. King as well as rallying in his honor against the racist and imperialist system which he fought against and which killed him.

We encourage all progressive and revolutionary people to join us at 2pm on Saturday January 17th at Lava Space for a collective viewing and discussion of Black Power Mixtape and on MLK Day itself, January 19th at 5:30pm for a rally, speak out and march starting at Malcolm X Park and ending at Clark Park.

Today Aarron Rainey would have been his 37th birthday unfortunately Aaron is not here to celebrate because he was murdered by two Philadelphia police officers while having a mental health crisis and we demand Justice for Aaron and we wish him a Happy birthday
