Least of Our Brothers Homeless Outreach

Least of Our Brothers Homeless Outreach Street outreach to help the homeless with some of the bare necessities and offer some humanity and dignity.

This outreach started in 2006 as a few friends purchasing brand new warm clothing and bag lunches from Silvio's Deli and hittin the streets of Philadelphia to seek out the homeless and give them not only some much needed things but also a moment of compassionate caring. Please check out our photos, stories, and soon video and may it inspire you to help us help others or start your own outreach. Ev

eryone deserves the basic human comfort of shelter, water, and food. Now that we have formed an official nonprofit corporation in late 2015 we will seek to fill needs of any homeless in the Bucks Co and surrounding areas.

Happy Giving Tuesday!
As we gather with loved ones this holiday season and gear up for our Christmas outreach run into Philadelphia, we’re setting an ambitious goal: $5,000 in donations (501(c)(3)) by December 15, 2025.
While many of us are blessed with warm homes and full tables, countless homeless neighbors are facing the cold and hunger this winter. Together, we can change that—one meal, one blanket, one act of kindness at a time.
Please consider making a donation today. Every dollar brings hope and real help to those who need it most.
Thank you for your generosity. ❤️

Wishing everyone the happiest of Thanksgivings — what an incredible day!
Today we distributed approximately 80 Thanksgiving dinners ingredients to those in need at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Doylestown, ensuring no one goes without a holiday meal.
A huge thank you to the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), especially Jack O’Brien, who has been the heart and soul of this effort during every major holiday throughout the year.
I’m truly proud to serve alongside my brothers in this mission.
This is what Thanksgiving is all about.
Never forget: when you positively impact even one person’s life, the ripple effect can touch a dozens more,
God bless you all, and Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃❤️

“We saw you guys three times before, and you helped us. We had all of our stuff stolen the other day. You are a godsend.
His sign read: “ Don’t make me eat the dog!” That was hilarious.

Under an umbrella. He led us to what we shall call “Tent Island,” not far from Dave and Busters.

Robert was a clean and courteous 64 y/o electrician. He lost his job when the boss who owned the company died. His unemployment runs out in five weeks, won’t stay at the homeless shelters b/c of the “Horrible” conditions. He made improvements on his camping site on “Tent Island.”One of the boys with us said it looks pretty good. He was so happy to get jeans, new boots, and shirts so he could use them for the upcoming job interviews he’s planning. “You are a Godsend.”

Ms. N., as always, was smiling.
Mr. M, a 66 y/o 1/2 blind,
With Parkinson’s, He was evicted from his apartment in March.

Good news :
I met a team member from the Navigation Center (Outreach), the nicest place to get showered, do laundry, and even watch TV and relax in peace. An outreach team was there to verify if they’re homeless and how she can better help them out. She was honest and frank, saying that her job is to get them the help they deserve. Straight shooter, one hell of a great lady, and said they are safer than other homeless shelters.

In speaking with a few Homeless men, they don’t like certain shelters, and they don’t feel safe. One person even mentioned that he couldn’t get a shower because someone took a crap in it, and the bathrooms were terrible.

Mrs. K & Husband Mr B.
Mostly toiletry, but needed more and took more after encouragement (Very Humble)

Mr. J wheelchair
We’ve seen him several times over the past three years. He has been clean for two years, however, the remnant of his addiction still lingers. It was after he injected he**in with tranquilizer and two years later his leg looked horrible.

We dropped off about 200 pair of Bombas socks to a temporary shelter for displaced residents of the North Carolina mountain flooding disaster. The shelter received an overwhelming response from the community! May God bless the families impacted and those responding. What is clear from the stories being heard is that God is moving in a powerful way through His people. Continue to pray for those affected.

Our most recent street outreach, on December 19th, 2923. We supported over 80 of our homeless friends with a nutritious meal and clothing. We addressed some immediate needs. We could write forever about the beautiful people we met and one always stands out to each of us.
James followed in his father and grandfather‘s footsteps by working on the hard and grueling task of laying tracks and switches for the railroad. “ I used a shovel, axe and a pick every day since I can remember.” he recalls.. My dear readers, you never know that the next time you’re on a train he could’ve had a part of that. Living in the streets is rough. It's not everyday but he is fortunate to sometimes sleep in a shelter, and grab a hot meal, As a homeless man, he was stabbed and shot which put him in a wheelchair. When we noticed him rolling backwards in his chair. We asked “Why are you rolling your chair backwards?“ He said, ”Because my legs are stronger than my hands and it’s much easier to get around this way. It takes a lot of practice to cross intersections and narrow areas.” There is so much more about James and we need to keep things short.

From your generous donations, we meet our goal by emptying our 18 foot trailer. With corporate sponsorship from Bombas Socks, local donations and businesses “We did it!” we are now collecting donations for our next late winter/early spring outreach coming soon.

Please share our story and may God Bless You.
