Come and spend some time with me and our very own Susan Taylor!

Our Yardley Borough Hall Walking Tour- Old, New; Outside, Inside is coming up next Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m. starting at 56 South Main Street. We'll begin with the story of how the town residents wanted more services than the surrounding property owners and started a campaign to create a Borough separate from Lower Makefield Township.
Reservations are needed. Please e-mail [email protected].

Please plan accordingly!

Hey Yardley! I'd love for you take 60 seconds and watch this. And then have your kids (if you have them) watch it, too. A little refresher goes a long way in preventing pedestrian fatalities. Kudos to Chief Golden for coming to me with the idea of short PSAs about common issues his officers see in Yardley and his willingness to evolve how we communicate with the community. More soon!

We're ONE MONTH out from Yardley Boro's Carry The Load Rally, Walk & Celebration. Are you in?

(I know there's a typo in the flyer. I've let our friends at CTL know and an update will be coming soon).

Things will be a little different this year, but we know they will only elevate the connectivity and community of the day.

Because we are utilizing the canal this year for part of our route, a solid idea of number of participants is really important.

We had a great time at our first Police on the Playground! Thanks to the Yardley Borough Police Department for being the best at engaging the community, especially our smallest members.

Chief Golden will not be including bubble abilities in his staff performance review this week. 🤭

See you all next time 👋

Community Policing done right 🚲

As we head into the spring season and welcome the return of warmer weather, the Yardley Borough Police Department, under the leadership of Mayor Caroline Thompson and Chief Golden, is proud to announce the development of our Bicycle Unit.

This new initiative will enhance our ability to engage with the community, increase visibility throughout the Borough, and provide an additional proactive policing resource in our parks, neighborhoods, and business district.

Corporal Adam Clark and Officer William Beaudet will be the first members of our department to attend the International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA) training this April.

This nationally recognized program will equip them with the skills and certifications necessary to safely and effectively operate as bicycle officers.

Earlier today, we picked up our bicycles from the shop after they were fully serviced and are now ready to go!

Under this new leadership, we are steadfast focused to continue building upon our commitment to community policing and look forward to seeing our officers out on patrol in a more accessible and approachable way this spring.

Please join us in congratulating Corporal Clark and Officer Beaudet as they take on this important role.

Welcome aboard, Jonathan!

Last night, Borough Council voted 4–2 to appoint Jonathan Woodring to Yardley Borough Council. Moments after the vote, I had the honor of swearing him in.

Over the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Jonathan and can personally vouch for his passion, advocacy, and critical thinking. We anticipate that he will assume the Public Works Chair position vacated by outgoing Councilman Uri Feiner.

I also want to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the other four candidates who put themselves forward in service to our community.

Daniel Mohn is a bright, independent thinker and a behind-the-scenes volunteer who gives so much to our town without ever seeking praise or recognition.

Anthony Tessitore is passionate about walkability and about building a family-oriented community. Mr. Tessitore withdrew his application from consideration last week, but I remain grateful for his willingness to serve.

Akvile Montvilaite Dammer came with the enthusiastic backing of her Parks & Recreation colleagues. I was deeply moved by the outpouring of support for her application and by all those who spoke up on her behalf because they believe in her leadership.

Louis Csabay was thoughtful, well-researched, and forward-looking, with a clear understanding of the changes that may affect the Borough in the years ahead. He was ready to give "110%" to this position.

I know all of these candidates to be kind, good people, and I felt incredibly proud of our town throughout this process. We have built a community where people want to serve because they want to be part of what we are building together.
