What it went through to bring your baby here is nothing short of extraordinary.🤍

Healing isn't linear. Recovery isn't a race. Be as patient with yourself as you are with your little one.

Your body deserves the same grace you give everyone else.

🔥 Season 4 topic you don’t want to miss:
How long can you really leave unused milk in a bottle?

We’ve all heard the “1–2 hour rule”… but a new study (still small & not peer-reviewed) suggests there may be more to the story

Every story shared in our community is a gift. đź’›

We are endlessly grateful to the parents who trust us enough to speak honestly about their journeys - the hard moments, the victories, the questions, and the support they found along the way.

At the Breastfeeding Resource Center, no parent has to do this alone. Every week, families come together to connect, learn, share experiences, and receive guidance from compassionate professionals and other parents who truly understand.

We are incredibly grateful to EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants for choosing the Breastfeeding Resource Center as the beneficiary of this year’s Cocktails for a Cause event.

Because of the support of sponsors, donors, and community members, we are able to provide free lactation care to families whose insurance does not cover these services, particularly families relying on Medicaid.

Last year alone, BRC provided more than 400 free visits, ensuring that parents received expert guidance and support during one of the most important transitions in their lives.

Every contribution helps us make professional lactation care accessible to more families who might otherwise go without it.

Thank you to EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, the event organizers, and everyone who joined us for an evening dedicated to supporting families in our community. Your generosity helps make this work possible.

This Memorial Day, we’re thinking about the generations that came before us — the parents, grandparents, caregivers, and loved ones who shaped our families with love, sacrifice, and care. ❤️

As we hold our babies close today, we honor the memories and legacies that continue through every generation.

Wishing all of our families a peaceful Memorial Day filled with love, connection, and gratitude

Are you interested in becoming a lactation consultant? The BRC is here to support you every step of the way.
Navigating the pathway can be confusing, so we offer a one-on-one consultation to help you understand the process, requirements, and next steps. The consultation fee is $35.

The BRC also offers a comprehensive mentorship program where you can earn all 500 clinical hours while gaining high-quality, hands-on experience. Interns can complete full days at our busy Abington office to build strong outpatient skills. You can also take advantage of following one of our home visit IBCLCs

In addition, the BRC provides all lactation care at Temple Women & Families Hospital in Philadelphia and Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, PA. This allows you to shadow and learn from a diverse team of lactation consultants across multiple clinical settings—giving you a well-rounded experience and excellent preparation for the IBCLC exam.

The cost of the mentorship program is $10 per hour. A BIPOC scholarship may be available, reducing the fee to $5 per hour.
