Illegal dumping comes with a cost, and our parks pay the price. 🚫🌳 
 
This week, hundreds of tires were illegally dumped in Fairmount Park. Our Parks & Recreation crews and partners responded quickly.
 
Illegal dumping takes our crews away from caring for Philadelphia’s parks, and the consequences are serious: Fines reach up to $5,000 per item [‼️]
 
👷‍♂️  Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the Office of Clean and Green, Sanitation, CLIP, Streets, Philadelphia Police, and other partners are continuously working to protect our parks.
 
Help us protect our parks and our crews. If you see illegal dumping, please report it to 311. 🤝

For our You(th) Bee the Goat event, over 60 Philly teens got outdoors at LOVE Park to learn about bees with Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild 🐝 and meet goats with Philly Goat Project 🐐. It was a chance to get curious, connect with nature, and have a hands-on outdoor experience right in the heart of the city. 🌱☀️🙌🏽
 
That’s what TouchGrassPhilly is all about: creating opportunities for Philly youth to “touch grass”, learn about nature, and experience their city in new ways! 💚🌳
