Each week, we gather for the dignity, freedom, and humanity of our immigrant and refugee neighbors. We provide spiritual accompaniment in spaces of violence. This May Day, we honor generations of workers who organized, resisted, and fought for the rights we have today and we carry that struggle forward. Workers from across Philadelphia will show up to speak with one loud, powerful voice to demand fair wages, safe workplaces, reliable healthcare for all workers, the end of workplace raids, immigrant detention, and deportations that tear families apart.

We march for:

As we close out April, we do so with gratitude and joy, especially as we celebrate our recent victory in the ICE OUT campaign. This moment reminds us of what is possible when communities come together with courage, persistence, and hope.

This Wednesday, April 29, West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship will lead our vigil, grounding us in reflection, solidarity, and faithful action in support of immigrant communities.

Last week, despite the rain, more than 50 neighbors joined our vigil, generously hosted by House of Grace Catholic Worker. We are deeply grateful to the congregation for their leadership and hospitality, swipe to see some pictures.

¡Al cerrar el mes de abril, lo hacemos con gratitud y alegría, especialmente al celebrar nuestra reciente victoria en la campaña ICE OUT! Este momento nos recuerda lo que es posible cuando las comunidades se unen con valentía, perseverancia y esperanza.

Este miércoles 29 de abril, la West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship dirigirá nuestra vigilia, brindándonos un espacio de reflexión, solidaridad y acción comprometida en apoyo a las comunidades inmigrantes.

📣April 23, 9am, ICE OUT Package Final Vote, City Hall

✊🏽Pastor Jonny Rashid of West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship and member of NSM, gave testimony last week at City Hall in support of ICE OUT Package:

“My church has immigrants who are afraid to come and worship or go about their daily lives. And they have every reason to be afraid of this fascistic, unfettered force of violence. We must do something to alleviate their fears. Philadelphia should not be complicit in ICE terror. The biblical value of loving one’s neighbor animates my politics and my life, and across religious traditions, we share this value. Everyone in this chamber agrees with that. But our words aren’t enough, they need to be backed up by action.”
