One book checked from the Library in her youth led Valerie Thomas to become a NASA inventor and to break boundaries. This month in the United States, people honor the existence of women and their positive impact across every sector of society.

Here is a great example of what the proliferation of library services in Rwanda can do within a country that sets the benchmark globally for the percentage of women in the national legislative branch of government.

It is also fitting to note that research indicates that in Rwanda it is and has been Rwandan women at the front-lines promoting the culture of literacy and the expansion of accessible, free reading material to the Rwandan citizenry. That begins with Her Excellancy the First Lady of Rwanda, who champions Imbuto Foundation, and Stella Ford Mugabo, who serves like the Spinal Cord to Rwanda's capacity-building initiatives.

Praxis

The son and grandchild of educators
The boy who was always in books, on the field, or on a drum found joy, peace, forgiveness, and freedom in the Land of a Thousand Hills.

What better way to share some of the best of what he had than to offer time, energy, and planning to support Bugesera District with additional resources.

Patience is for those who know the power of prayer.
Planning is for those who pray to complete the work.
