As the 2021-2022 Legislative Session winds down and my final term as State Representative comes to an end, I had the privilege to stand before my colleagues in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and deliver a farewell address on October 25.
During my time in office, I have been an ardent supporter of reforming the legislative process in a way that ensures that the voices of all Pennsylvanians are heard and considered in the Hall of the House. While much work needs to be done in order to meet that goal and to restore fairness in the House Rules, I used my time at the Speaker’s rostrum to call upon my colleagues to reach across the aisle and work together in an effort to create meaningful change in the way business is conducted in the House. Pennsylvania deserves to be represented by a legislature that is committed to producing quality legislation that puts the people first.
Serving the residents of the 194th Legislative District has been one of the greatest honors of my life and I thank you all for entrusting me with the responsibility of being your voice in Harrisburg for the past 12 years.
I have been asked by many of you. What’s next? As of this writing, I do not know. My focus has been to fulfill my responsibilities as a legislator until the end of my term. I will miss the daily interactions with you, my constituents, and want to thank you for being engaged citizens and ensuring that I was aware of your concerns and priorities regarding state policy. I look forward to seeing you out and about.
