As the 2021-2022 Legislative Session winds down and my final term as State Representative comes to an end, I had the privilege to stand before my colleagues in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and deliver a farewell address on October 25.

During my time in office, I have been an ardent supporter of reforming the legislative process in a way that ensures that the voices of all Pennsylvanians are heard and considered in the Hall of the House. While much work needs to be done in order to meet that goal and to restore fairness in the House Rules, I used my time at the Speaker’s rostrum to call upon my colleagues to reach across the aisle and work together in an effort to create meaningful change in the way business is conducted in the House. Pennsylvania deserves to be represented by a legislature that is committed to producing quality legislation that puts the people first.

Serving the residents of the 194th Legislative District has been one of the greatest honors of my life and I thank you all for entrusting me with the responsibility of being your voice in Harrisburg for the past 12 years.

I have been asked by many of you. What’s next? As of this writing, I do not know. My focus has been to fulfill my responsibilities as a legislator until the end of my term. I will miss the daily interactions with you, my constituents, and want to thank you for being engaged citizens and ensuring that I was aware of your concerns and priorities regarding state policy. I look forward to seeing you out and about.

It has been an honor and privilege to serve you. I have heard from so many of you over the past several weeks and your kind words have lifted me up at this very difficult time. On many occasions I have been asked, What’s next? As of this writing, I do not know. My focus has been to fulfill my responsibilities as a legislator until the end of my term. I will miss the daily interactions with you, my constituents, and want to thank you for being engaged citizens and ensuring that I was aware of your concerns and priorities regarding state policy. I look forward to seeing you out and about.

Please know my office is officially closed as of 5:00pm on Monday, November 28.

The House Democratic Caucus has advised me that the current District Office location will not be used as a state representative office. The transition to the representative-elect, effective December 1, is coordinated between the House Democratic Caucus and the incoming member. As of this posting, a new location has not been identified.

For constituent services I recommend you contact your state Senator’s office or Representative Daley’s office if you are a Lower Merion resident.

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veteran Affairs recently launched PA VetConnect, a new service that provides resources for over 700,000 veterans living in Pennsylvania.

PA VetConnect aims to determine the needs of veterans and their beneficiaries, find resources that meet those needs, and connect veterans with those resources. Through this website, veterans or friends and family members of retired service members can access information such as locations of shelters or food banks, the state veterans registry, and the Veterans Crisis Line. Information for federal, state, and local agencies can also be found on PA VetConnect.

Please visit www.dmva.pa.gov/veteransaffairs/VetConnect/ for more details.

My term as State Representative comes to an end on Wednesday, November 30 at midnight. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and the need to disburse all contents of my office, today was the last day my office could provide constituent services. After today, we recommend that you contact your State Senator’s office or, if you are a resident of Lower Merion, Representative Daley’s office if you are in need of assistance. Please see the attached flyer for information on how to find your legislator and their district office information. My office will continue to answer phone calls through Monday, November 28.

The district office will be closed TODAY Friday, November 11th to recognize Veteran's Day.

Originally called Armistice Day, this holiday was established to honor Americans who had served in World War I. It falls on November 11, the day when that war ended in 1918, but it now honors veterans of all wars in which the United States has fought. If you are able, please take a moment to honor those who have served.
