Here is Pat Toomey's official statement on the Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage:
"Over the years, I have supported efforts to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, including the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and the repeal of the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. Yet I have also long supported the traditional definition of marriage. Today, the Supreme Court has ruled that all states must recognize same-sex marriage. Understandably, many people will celebrate this decision. While I disagree with it, I acknowledge the Supreme Court's ruling as the law of the land."
Nice to see that he acknowledges that the ruling is now the law of the land, we guess.
Pennsylvania's Republican congressional members largely denounced a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday that legalized same-sex marriage.
