Hey fam! We’ve had a wild first 3 years! Woohoo for us, go team! Also belated HBD 🥳. We’re taking some time to recharge and rethink about how we can collectively save democracy! Stay tuned for what’s in store and enjoy the down time while you can! Remember, there is an election EVERY 👏 SIX 👏 MONTHS!

We are proud to do our civic duty by supporting the WHYY & Billy Penn's 2023 Regional Spelling Bee! BC prez Jen Devor served as one of three judges (what an honor!!👩‍⚖️). The competition was steep, and ultimately only two of 22 contestants will make it on to the National Bee! Check out local listings for the big reveal sometime in the near future! 🐝 📝

Better Civics is a non-partisan, non-profit organization revolutionizing civic engagement and voter participation. Understanding the barriers that have persisted to keep diverse communities disengaged from the civic and political process, Better Civics is the connective tissue between encouraging individuals to vote and empowering communities to be their own advocates. Better Civics works in partnership with creatives, advocates, and activists to drive people-first campaigns, educational programming and community-focused initiatives, that:

Power residents with better information, skills, and motivation to be civically engaged

Position residents to convert their individual and collective power into better civic action

Promote a better quality of life in diverse neighborhoods across Philadelphia
