* Learn the company referral policies.
* Ask about co-payments and deductibles.
*Know the cap on your insurance coverage.
* ask about home health care and medical supplies that is included in your health insurance plan.

The biggest question for me was to enroll my child into the study or not to me personally I entered buddy into the study after countless nights of staying up and studying Rhadomysacroma I thought as a parent the best Fighting Chance my son would have would be enrolling him into the study. Always keep in mind you are your child best advocate. Educate yourself and learn as much as you can about your child diagnosis. Look for websites that are professionally sponsored to ensure accuracy and reliability. Plan ahead for each appointment and always keep a notebook!!!!

OUR STORY : Buddy had just started kindergarten. It was the happiest and proudest time for me and his dad about a month or so of him starting school, I came home from work one day and noticed a strange lump on buddy's head we made a doctor's appointment to get it looked at. Doctors told us we had a perfectly healthy four year old boy and not to worry the lump will go away. We went back and forth to the doctor for months even had an ultrasound done on the lump. The doctors had ensured us our son was healthy. One day he came home from school and complain of pain where the lump was, we took him to the ER. ER Physicians said give it two weeks with the medicine they prescribed and if the lump didn't go down you would have to get it removed via surgery. Surgery day came pretty fast in our lives would be changed forever. Right after surgery, the plastic surgeon sat us down and said when she opened the lump it was a solid lump no fluid that had to be removed and that she believe it to be abnormal and needed to be sent off for a biopsy. As a mother I knew then something was terribly wrong two weeks we waited for the results to come back and boom we were now parents of a child who was in for the fight of his life. He was diagnosed with a rare Childhood cancer called RHADOMYSACROMA . Countless days and nights were just half of the battle watching your child suffer and can't do nothing but stay strong was hard but the help of other organizations and extended support they offer I don't know where our family would be. That's where the idea and urge to help other families came , and Buddy's Journey was created.
