We have had a major water main blow out overnight and drained our tower, storage supply tanks and well storage tanks. We will have this fixed as soon as we can. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Garbage pick-up will run Monday, as usual, on July 4th. The City Hall will be closed on Monday only.

The Boil Water Notice has been rescinded. There is no need to boil water. The Lab tests came back clear. Thank you.

In being in compliance with T.C.E.Q. regulations, the
City of Petrolia water customers will be under a "Boil Water Notice" due to loss of water pressure during repairs. The order will remain in effect until notice from the lab that all test samples are clear. We will post again when the order is lifted.

Mike just reported that a main water line has broken. They are currently trying to find a valve to isolate the problem, but most likely the entire town will be without water this afternoon until they can get it repaired. They will be working on it and will not stop until service is restored. No exact timeline is known at the present. He wanted you to know to prepare and know that they will have it taken care of as soon as they possibly can, hopefully by the end of today.
