This is the third time I have been blessed to volunteer abroad and I am so grateful for the amazing perspectives I have gained and lessons I have learned. United for Service and Volunteer Morocco worked with local Moroccan physicians to provide medical services to under serviced communities. We measured blood pressure and glucose levels and patients had the opportunity to discuss their health results with physicians. In addition, we visited local schools and met adorable children. I can’t express enough gratitude to these organizations and I hope we all make an effort to support organizations like these.

A rural community in Morocco faces health challenges and UFS had the opportunity to help! Our program was able to send our volunteers to assist in medical and dental clinics. We hope to continue the good work in the near future, so keep in touch for updates on more service trips!

This past July, our group of high school students had an enriching opportunity to stay for one week on the reservation of the Blackfeet Nation in Browning, Montana. The Blackfeet Reservation is home to one of the ten largest tribes in the United States. Please learn about our experience and help us raise funds for the Blackfeet community!

UFS is a non-profit dedicated to providing a global service experience to young adult Muslims. Volunteers have the opportunity to:
• participate in rural health and dental clinics;
• shadow physicians;
• participate in agricultural projects that foster sustainable living;
• participate in teaching and classroom rehabilitation projects;
• assist staff who care for children at an orphanage;
• visit a women’s Argan oil cooperative and learn about microenterprises;
• learn about a new culture and visit historic sites.
