Yesterday I had another chat with Amazon customer service about a missing package. They said it was delivered by the front door. Nothing there. Customer service asked if I had checked the garage or with a neighbor. I said no, why would I do that if it says it was delivered at my front door, and was he implying the driver lied? He said, no, sometimes they do that for security purposes. I asked, why would they feel they need to hide 10 pounds of sushi rice for security purposes?

They refunded me my payment since I said I needed to buy it locally.

Guess what I found on my back porch, *behind a sign that says do not enter. So they broke in to deliver and lied.

Update: chatted again to tell them we found it and the driver broke into private property. I told them if it happens again I'm calling the police. Yes, it's small, but I seriously don't know what else to do. Breaking in is way past a random jug of tea.

I asked why I should do that if they said they delivered it to my front door - as specifically instructed - and were they calling the driver a liar? He said no, sometimes they deliver them elsewhere for security purposes. I asked why the driver would think my neighbor needed my 10 pounds of sushi rice for security purposes? He refunded me my payment since I had to purchase it locally instead, and for the umpteenth I was assured it wouldn't happen again.

Guess what we found this morning on our back porch, behind the door with the sign (that I bought from them) saying Do Not Enter? So they broke in AND lied.

Yesterday I received a package addressed to my neighbor block away. We dropped it off for them earlier. Today, I just watched Amazon put something at my door, take a proof of delivery picture, stand back, and then take it back. Which is good, because I'm not expecting anything until Friday.

I got Arnie this cute, fuzzy pink flamingo ornament at the dollar store last week, but now I'm a bit hesitant to put it on him. People won't think he's a sw***er, would they? I mean, I guess he swings his club, but I read that it can have another meaning...

Today should have been Amy "AJ" Kuehn's 31st birthday, had she not been killed in 2017 at age 22. She suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and was taken out drinking by her father that night. When her father was pulled over, AJ jumped out of his convertible and ran into a private lawn. State Trooper Cameron Joseph, now Corporal Cam Joseph of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, jumped the curb and chased her with his vehicle. When Amy slipped on the wet grass, Corporal Joseph ran over her body and her head.

Arnie and all of us would like to remember her today and how amazing she was during her short life. She was an organ donor and gifted life with her kidney. Happy birthday kid. You are loved and missed.
