Diligence recently conducted a gunnery exercise (GUNNEX) while underway to enhance crew readiness on Diligence’s combat systems. A great evolution with a ton of learning involved was spearheaded by GM1 Hopkins!

Meet ET3 William Covert from Charleston, SC.

ET3 Covert is an Electronics Technician onboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Diligence. He stands CIC watch when underway, troubleshoots and maintains radios, radars and other Navigation

He enjoys playing Mario Kart and running.

His most memorable Coast Guard experience was being in Baltimore and being able to help out when the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed.

Meet LTJG Dane Harbison from Vancleave, MS.

LTJG Harbison is the 1LT onboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Diligence. He is in charge of the deck department onboard including BM’s and SN’s. He is also a boarding officer and a deck watch officer onboard.

He enjoys hunting, kickboxing and shooting.

His most memorable Coast Guard experience was conning through a storm out of Cape Hatteras.

Favorite food: Foie Gras
