🇺🇸 PENNINGTON’S “RED, WHITE & WOW” 🇺🇸

The Town of Pennington Gap, in partnership with the Powell Valley News, is encouraging residents to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary by decorating their homes, porches, yards, and neighborhoods with patriotic pride leading into Independence Day.

Residents are also encouraged to participate in beautification efforts, including flowers, landscaping, porch decorating, flags, and displays that showcase the pride and spirit of our community.

Selected homes will receive commemorative American flag yard signs recognizing their patriotic spirit and community pride.

Recognition categories include:
🇺🇸 Most Patriotic Display
🌸 Best Front Porch
🌺 Best Use of Flowers & Landscaping
⭐ Best Neighborhood Spirit
❤️ Community Pride Award

Residents may register themselves or nominate a neighbor by calling Town Hall at:

A heartfelt thank you to American Legion Post 0185 for their dedication and service in respectfully retiring our worn and tattered American flags today at Leeman Field Park.

Their commitment to honoring our nation’s symbol reminds us of the sacrifices made by so many to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Thank you to all who participated and helped preserve this important tradition.
