What a great day celebrating the ribbon-cutting for the new Walkerbilt Park! ✂️ 🌳
We are excited to officially open this space and see it enjoyed by residents, families, and visitors for years to come.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible, especially the New York State Department of State for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) funding. Investments like this are a big deal for small communities like ours and help create lasting improvements we can all enjoy.
We also want to recognize the incredible team effort behind this project, including Fisher Associates for the design, City Hill Construction Inc. for bringing the vision to life, Ironvine Studios for the entrance sign, and our dedicated Department of Public Works staff for all of their hard work and support throughout the project.
We are also proud to share that this project was recognized with the 2025 APWA Project of the Year Award for Small Cities/Rural Communities. This award is a testament to the teamwork, vision, and commitment that made this project a success!
