Reminder - The Lumbee Tribe Heating and Water Assistance Program will wrap up next Friday, December 16th. The energy department will accept applications on Friday until 4 pm. The Low Income Household Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will provide a one-time heating benefit to income eligible households paid directly towards their heating source. The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) will address restoration of services to households without current water services, immediate payment of existing arrearages to prevent disconnection of drinking water or wastewater, establishing household water services, or provide a monthly benefit payment.

Tribal Members may apply in person at the Lumbee Tribe Housing Complex. Completed applications with all the required paperwork from the checklist may be delivered to the drop box at the Lumbee Tribe Housing Complex at 6984 NC 711 Pembroke, NC or emailed to [email protected]

You are Invited to the Lumbee Tribe Fall Festival & Fish Fry on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center. The day kicks off with a 5K Fun Run/Walk. The registration is from 8 am to 9 am and the 5K Fun Run/Walk will begin at 9 am. The day will also feature gospel singing, Stickball demonstrations, Lumbee Cultural demonstrations by Lumbee Artisans and a FREE Fish Lunch (While supplies last.)

The RCC Johnson Scholarship Foundation Funding Futures program is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Native American students enrolled in the following programs may be eligible for the scholarship as long as they have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and are enrolled in at least two business / entrepreneurship courses.
