Thank you Utah Highway Patrol for your help in capturing this injured fox in Peoa. We are playing around with donated Meta glasses and have found them an excellent tool for recording capture and release.

The beauty of being able to soft release birds of prey is that they have a safe place to explore and learn. This is one of our four American kestrels that were raised from nestlings.

At the clinic, Scout, a northern Pygmy owl, had a surprising visitor yesterday - another northern Pygmy owl. The visitor waited patiently outside the enclosure for hours, and both owls remained calm and silent. Since Scout was rescued from the road to Mirror Lake, it's unlikely this was a reunion. The whole encounter was truly fascinating, and I'm left wondering what was going through their minds.

World Wildlife Conservation Day reminds us why we do this work every single day. πŸ¦‰πŸ¦…**

As the only licensed wildlife rehabilitation center serving Summit and Wasatch Counties, we're honored to be the lifeline for injured and orphaned wildlife in our mountains, valleys, and communities.

Every raptor mended, every hummingbird released, every bat given a second chanceβ€”this is conservation in action. This is what it means to share our wild spaces responsibly.

Thank you for being part of this mission with us. Together, we're giving Utah's wildlife the care they deserve.

Just hiked up to Willow Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon with rescue gear, and this mallard outsmarted us! He's got a broken wing, but he's still swimming and diving like a pro. We'll be back next week to try again.
