In 60 days the people of Henry County will make an important decision about our future.

Over the last several months I've had the opportunity to visit with people across our county, listen to concerns, hear ideas, and talk about where we want to go together.

I believe our best days are ahead.

With common sense leadership, responsible stewardship, and a commitment to getting things done, we can continue building a stronger Henry County for our families, businesses, and future generations.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, prayed for, and believed in this campaign.

The work isn't finished yet.

There's one thing I keep coming back to while reviewing this year’s county budget. A balanced budget today is not always the same thing as a sustainable budget long term.

I think we should be careful about creating permanent recurring expenses while relying on temporary or nonrecurring revenue sources to support them.

Without a long term plan to eventually cover those differences through growth, efficiency, or increased revenue stability, future budgets can become more difficult as overall costs continue to rise.

I believe Henry County should prioritize investments that improve efficiency, strengthen infrastructure, reduce outside costs where possible, and create long term growth opportunities for taxpayers.

Just left the National Day of Prayer at the courthouse and it was a really beautiful thing to see.

No matter your beliefs, there’s something special about watching a community come together peacefully in prayer, hope, and unity.

It’s also a reminder of how unique the First Amendment truly is, that people can openly gather on the courthouse steps and freely express their faith.

We’re blessed to live in a community where moments like that still happen.
