Storm chances will increase tonight into Friday across parts of North and Central Texas.

A few storms may develop across our western counties this evening, but confidence in that scenario is low. The better chance for storms arrives overnight into Friday morning as a cold front moves south through North Texas. Lightning, strong winds and heavy rain will all be possible with the strongest storms.

Additional scattered storms may develop Friday afternoon, but the exact location and coverage will depend on where the front and any leftover storm boundaries end up.

⚠️ ATTENTION DRIVERS: Danger at School House Rd S-Curves ⚠️

A new gas line project has caused road damage along the S-curves on School House Road. A section is currently taped off.

This area is now HAZARDOUS. For the safety of yourself and others, you MUST SLOW DOWN and pay undivided attention while navigating these curves.

Beginning Tomorrow: Flaggers will direct traffic during the day only.

Nights: Expect reduced visibility, no flaggers, and difficult road conditions. Avoid this area after dark if possible.

Just normal people, doing what they’ve been called to do. Showing up even when they’ve been at work all day, many have families with kids at home.
Volunteers are the backbone of our rural departments. They’re always ready to show up when those tones drop. We’re blessed to have so many awesome volunteers throughout ESD3 and many of the surrounding areas.

This photo shows what a volunteer firefighter actually is. This photo was taken on June 10th, 2026 around 5:00 PM. Many fire departments around the Love County area in Oklahoma. The first tone for this fire was at 12:27, almost four and a half hours before this photo was taken. Both men walking up to this massive fire can be seen wearing HVAC shirts, and carrying bunker gear. Both guys just got off of work and worked their way towards the scene to help. Volunteer firefighters do not stay at the station. They don’t get paid to fire fires. Most of them have jobs within the community and live their own lives. Even after a long day of working, both of these guys still took time out of their evening to go help these guys do a dangerous job for no pay. Hats off to both of these guys. America needs more people like yall.

🔥 The readiness to support our neighboring ESD is essential when catastrophe strikes.

🔥Wise County ESD #1 firefighters answered the call for a single family dwelling fire. Crews were met with heavy fire involvement upon arrival. A search was conducted of survivable space. Crews held their ground until the fire was controlled. 🔥

We’re incredibly thankful for air assistance at major accidents. Expedited patient transfer makes a huge difference in rural areas when severe injuries are present.

🚨 Now THAT is amazing improvement on response time!

We’re excited to share the early impact our new ambulance station in Alvord is already having on emergency response in our service area.

Before the station opened, a recent call (same address) required 10 minutes and 50 seconds from the time the ambulance went enroute until arrival on scene. With the new station in service, a similar response was completed in just 1 minute and 45 seconds.

That’s a reduction of 9 minutes and 5 seconds, representing an 83.8% improvement in response time.

In emergency medicine, minutes matter. Faster response times mean quicker patient care, improved outcomes, and a higher level of service for the citizens we are privileged to serve.

This achievement reflects the vision and support of our elected officials and our continued commitment to providing the best possible emergency medical care to our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project a reality. The results speak for themselves, and we’re proud to see the positive difference it is already making.
