Is Lindstrom looking for a Pirate ship or is he just a ship adrift?

2026 has been quite the year for Lindstrom. He began the year espousing the Republican platform as he was a candidate for U.S. House of Representatives NE-02. He dropped out of that race only to change his voter registration to non-partisan and then petition as a gubernatorial candidate. After failing to submit the required number of verified signatures, less than 24 hours later he says he is considering running as a Working People Party candidate for Governor.

He talks about addressing taxes and spending yet the Working People Party platform promotes socialist ideals and the high price tags that come with things like: healthcare as a right, expanding Medicare/medicaid, and increased spending for the education cartel.

Our recommendation to Brett is take some time off. Do some self reflection to decide what values he truly believes then run as a candidate in future cycles espousing those values so the people are able to make an informed decision. He should make sure when his name is on the ballot it means something to the voters. This effort of getting on the ballot no matter what is really a bad look.
