Hollywood trailblazer Dolores Robinson received her star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars on Friday. ⭐

Recognized in the Entertainment category, Robinson is known as the first Black female personal manager in film and television, representing major talents including Martin Sheen, Wesley Snipes, Pierce Brosnan, Mark Wahlberg, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Mariska Hargitay.

Her star is located at 849 N. Palm Canyon Drive.

Tomorrow, February 12 at 11:00 a.m., we rededicate Nelda Linsk on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars, officially adding the title “First Lady of Modernism Week” to her star at 155 S Palm Canyon Dr.

A true Palm Springs original since 1962, Nelda has helped shape the city’s aesthetic and cultural identity across architecture, fashion, art, and design. On the anniversary of her original dedication, Modernism Week will unveil her newly refurbished star with added language honoring her lasting impact and marking the official start of Modernism Week 2026.

We’re back for another season, Palm Springs! ⭐️

Today, we proudly unveiled the 480th star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars honoring Herbert W. Burns (1897–1988) — one of the city’s earliest architectural visionaries whose work helped define Palm Springs’ iconic midcentury style.

From the Town & Desert Apartment Hotel (now The Hideaway) to Desert Hills and Orbit In, Burns’ legacy lives on through the timeless design and community spirit he brought to the desert.

On behalf of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and Palm Springs Walk of the Stars, today we honor the life and legacy of Harold Matzner — philanthropist, humanitarian, entrepreneur, and, as we all knew him best, “Mr. Palm Springs.”

🌟 In 2006, Harold was honored with the 269th star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars, located at 155 S. Palm Canyon Drive. Flowers will be placed at his star today at 10:30 a.m. as a tribute to his life and in his memory.

On behalf of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and Palm Springs Walk of the Stars, today we honor the legacy of Harold Matzner — philanthropist, humanitarian, entrepreneur, and as we all knew him best, “Mr. Palm Springs.”

Through his generosity and leadership, Harold expanded what was possible for Palm Springs, leaving an influence that will endure for generations. His support of our work — including the Police & Fire Appreciation Luncheon and State of the City — underscored his unwavering dedication to our community.

Today, we proudly unveiled the 478th star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars alongside Mayor Ron deHarte, honoring legendary radio actress Elinor Harriot—best known as Ruby Taylor on Amos ‘n’ Andy, first broadcast from the El Mirador tower on Christmas night, 1935. ⭐️

A voice that shaped an era and a legacy we’re proud to celebrate.

📍 Her star now shines at Downtown Palm Springs Park.
