Had a great time at New Town High School yesterday for their FBLA induction ceremony! It was an honor to speak to this group of bright students about my FBLA experience and the opportunities this organization has to offer. Congratulations New Town from increasing membership from 12 members to 80 for the 2017-2018 school year!😊

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for sticking with me this far. Please make sure that you read over this post and visit the website that I have included.

The State Leadership Conference is in 8 DAYS!!! Make sure that you come prepared to CONNECT with fantastic speakers, workshop presenters, and the state officer team! We would love to get to know each and every one of you.

In addition, the SPDC is hosting an event to make cards and collect items to send to Operation Turbo, an organization that will deliver these items to deployed troops. We also ask that each chapter brings at least 10 items from the following list: coffee, tea, 5hr energy drinks, q-tips, nuts, KIND bars, beef jerky, protein bars, dried fruit, liquid water enhancers, and baby wipes (in soft packaging). This event will take place on April 14, the first day of the SLC. It's a great way to meet new people and CONNECT with your state officer team.

Last but not least, if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me or visit this website: http://tinyurl.com/boxesofhome.

Sincerely,
Sophie Sun

Hello everyone!

As Spring Break draws nearer, so does the State Leadership Conference in Hunt Valley from April 14-16! Here are some key points regarding the SLC:

On the 14th, check-in will begin at 10 am. For those of you who are running for state officer positions, there is a mandatory meeting at 11 am for the candidate, adviser, and campaign manager.

Regarding State Officer Applications, they are due by March 18! I encourage all of you non-seniors to apply; being a state officer has really opened my eyes and allowed me to step out of my shell.

Last but not least, the Special Projects Development Committee (SPDC) will be collecting items and cards for care packages that will be delivered to deployed troops. Our goal is to send 200 cards and we need your help! Please encourage your members to attend this project to write thank-you notes and as a chapter, we request that you donate 10 items from this list: coffee, 5 hour energy drinks, q-tips, nuts, KIND bars, beef jerky, protein bars, dried fruit, individual powders, liquid water enhancers, and baby wipes. If you could bring these items, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your time and I am so excited to meet and CONNECT with you all during the SLC!

Hello all!

Thank you all so much for coming out to the Maryland FBLA Region 2 Conference. Seeing all of you there and cheering on your friends as they got announced during the Award Ceremony made me feel so happy for all of you who have such a supportive group and qualified for states. Although the Regional Conference did have some setbacks, and I apologize for those, we will be sending out certificates shortly.

In the meantime, here are some updates regarding Maryland FBLA: the State Leadership Conference is coming very soon (April 14-16)! It's MD FBLA's 60th anniversary and I am so pumped to see you all there again.

In addition, I highly encourage all of you to run for state officer positions. Although it is a lot of work, the experience that you gain from it is tremendous. Each school can send 2 students to run for positions (and another person if he/she is running for Parliamentarian) and the application is due on March 18. Here's the application:http://www.mdfbla.org/uploads/3/1/0/0/31006403/maryland_fbla_state_officer_application_2016.pdf

Thank you all for your time and I hope to see all of you at the State Leadership Conference!
