With temperatures plunging well below zero and severe cold in the forecast, it is time to take precautions to prevent pipes from freezing and bursting.
Key Advice:
Keep a Small Trickle of Water Running
Run a pencil-sized stream of water from at least one faucet, preferably on an outside wall.
Why? Moving water is much less likely to freeze than stagnant water.
When? Do this overnight, or whenever water will go unused for a few hours, especially during extreme cold snaps.
If you choose to run your water please contact the village at 8106314680 or email at [email protected] or [email protected] to let us know you ran your water to prevent freezing.
