For most of human history, our ancestors came together in circles - as a common form of governance, to build bridges, and to spark movements to create change.

Gloria Steinem knew this and so, for decades, she hosted thousands of these dialogues in her home. She called them "talking circles" -- a space where speaking your mind AND listening to others' are equally important.

These talking circles echo the work BridgeUSA is trying to do on college campuses so we salute this important and special part of Gloria Steinem's legacy.

Dolly Parton led with love and openness and, at a time when it feels like we can’t agree on anything, her approach to life is a reminder of what’s possible when we do that.

If the reactions to her passing are any indication, we've lost a true bridge builder.

We should all be a bit more like Dolly.

We are beyond grateful for our students who show up every year with curiosity and excitement.
