OROVILLE CHAPTER
Due to increasing criminal activity, escalating incidents of violent crimes including a recent rash of armed bank robberies and record-breaking homicides, the City of Oroville and Chico has called upon The Guardian Angels to assist the Community & Local Law Enforcement Agencies in coming up with reasonable alternatives or solutions to help curb the ever-increasing crime rate. The
key to successfully resolving these types of problems within the community is to get as many members of that community involved by working together as a team and cooperating with local Law Enforcement Agencies in a variety of different ways, primarily working as a visual deterrent to criminal activity by frequently patrolling crime-ridden areas. With the rise in violent crime, it is now more important than ever, for the community to come together and take back the streets of Oroville & Chico!! As such, The Guardian Angels are currently running a recruiting campaign in order to establish a local Chapter for the Butte County. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that will be assisting the Oroville & Chico and surrounding communities as a visual deterrent to criminal activity. The Guardian Angels also act as positive role models for youth within the community by offering education, leadership and other programs as alternatives against gangs, drugs & violence. The Guardian Angels also go Beyond the Streets providing assistance to those in need, in a variety of different ways, from moving a piece of furniture for the frail and elderly to supporting entire communities during catastrophic events.
