Earlier this year, we teamed up with Coeur dโ€™Alene School District to launch Career Quest, a career exploration event helping students with disabilities discover potential career paths and connect directly with local professionals.

The energy, curiosity, and real-world conversations made it a huge success for all involved!
Many students left inspired by careers theyโ€™d never considered before.

Brian came to Idaho Vocational Rehabilitation determined to re-enter the workforce and to continue to use his skills from his prior employment.
With support from Vocational Rehabilitation and the Idaho Assistive Technology Project, he received the support needed to return to work and to start-up Brianโ€™s Rock N Boulders.
Because of this support from VR to make his employment dreams a realityโ€”Brian now runs a successful excavation and stonework business.

A great example of whatโ€™s possible when we invest in peopleโ€™s goals and potential, strengthening Idahoโ€™s economy and workforce!

๐Ÿ‘€Ever wish you could go back in time and ask someone what their job was really like before choosing your career?
๐Ÿ’ฌHereโ€™s your chance to be that someone for Idaho high school students with disabilities.

Weโ€™re looking for professionals to join our Workday Wednesday seriesโ€”short, virtual informational interviews where students get to explore real career paths they can pursue after graduation. Itโ€™s a chance to share your journey, show what a day in your work life looks like, and help students picture a future in your field.

Each session is held over Zoom and lasts 20โ€“25 minutes. Youโ€™ll be joined by students and counselors from all across Idaho. Easy to join, big impact.

This moment from the 1st annual CDA Career Exploration is exactly why Brandy and I were so passionate about collaborating with CDA School District to make this event happen. We wanted to create a space where students with disabilities could explore career paths, connect with local businesses, and start shaping their futures.

It wouldnโ€™t have been possible without the incredible business community and the school district coming alongside us. Seeing so many employers invest their time in these studentsโ€”answering questions, sharing insights, and inspiring the next generationโ€”was truly amazing.
