Hey OV! Monsoon season is almost here, and the outlook for Arizona’s 2026 monsoon is in.

The National Weather Service offices serving Arizona teamed up on this year’s 2026 Arizona Monsoon Outlook, with resources available in English and Spanish.

Here’s what to know:
• Rain: Most of Arizona has a 33-50% chance of above-normal precipitation for July, August and September.
• Heat: Most of Arizona also has a 40-50% chance of above-normal temperatures for the same period.

As storms build over the mountains, conditions can change fast. Now’s a great time to review your monsoon plan and stay weather-aware. For more preparedness information, visit the Monsoon Preparedness Guide on the Town’s Emergency Preparedness page at https://go.ovaz.gov/monsoon

The Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that its popular "Locals Eat Local" Oro Valley sticker hunt is officially underway, running throughout the months of June and July. Designed to support local restaurants during the slower summer season, this interactive campaign encourages residents to beat the heat while fueling the local economy.

As many seasonal residents depart and summer temperatures rise, local dining establishments often see a decrease in foot traffic. The "Locals Eat Local" campaign serves as an engaging incentive for community members to continue supporting their favorite neighborhood spots.

To make this year’s hunt extra special, the Chamber partnered with local muralist Ashley White to create 25 unique sticker designs. Each participating restaurant features a bespoke sticker inspired by desert flora and fauna, rendered in a stunning Art Nouveau theme. Residents may recognize White's work as the murals located at James D. Kreigh Park and the Oro Valley Community Center. All stickers were proudly produced by the local printer, Miles Label Company. To ensure everyone has the chance to collect these limited-edition works of art, we kindly ask participants to limit themselves to one sticker per person.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
While the artistic stickers are free for everyone to collect, the Chamber is encouraging residents to make a meaningful impact. Participants who download the Explore Oro Valley app and spend $20 at five different participating restaurants, for a total of $100 spent, will earn an exclusive "Oro Valley Local" prize. Available while supplies last, prizes include stackable stainless steel tupperware with a carrying case or an insulated canvas cooler lunch tote.

⚠️ Construction on the Naranja Multi-Use Path is temporarily delayed for about 30 days due to material delivery timing and a utility conflict that must be addressed before work can continue. Once construction resumes, the remaining work is expected to take about 4-6 weeks to complete (weather dependent).

⛔️ Please note: the path remains an active construction zone and is not yet open for public use. “Sidewalk Closed” signs will be posted along the full length because key safety features, like handrails, signs and pavement markings, have not yet been fully installed.

For questions, please contact [email protected].

Thank you for your patience as this project moves forward.
