We had a great day teaching the local school kids about BCHU. Rod and Holly put on the now-famous hobble races, and boy some of those kids could really run with em! We were impressed, and, in hopes that our horses didn’t take any notes.

Members of our chapter have been out in force clearing trail of deadfall and overgrowth while enjoying the early springtime scenery. Rod and Linda are doing another trail clearing project up Payson Canyon on Monday at 10am, they are looking for a few extra hands to come along as the trees down are quite large.

Next month we have our Big Springs service project and ride, those details are coming to you soon! Have you cleared trail or found projects needing done this spring? Share your pics if you have em, and don’t forget to log your precious time as service hours for BCHA!

This year’s silent auction was made possible by our generous members and these amazing local businesses. Please take a moment to take note of the places who support our cause. They have donated items to be auctioned or finances or supplies to contribute to our five focus projects for this year.

Back Country Horsemen is made up entirely of volunteers like you. Without your contributions of time, money, service, and skills, we wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything. We have big goals to maintain our local riding trails and enhance our voice in our communities. Anything helps!

If you are already a member, you’re doing great!

If you would like to join, let’s get you on board!

There are no obligations for time or service by becoming a member. There are many opportunities to serve and we will happily receive anything you have to offer.

The equine community is something special. We strive to be a group that is welcoming to all, whether you have anything to do with horses or not. If you are someone, or know someone, who would like to know more, message us!
