Today was the day! 9 firefighters from Orange Volunteer Fire Department took on the challenge and climbed 34 flights of stairs in full gear to raise funds for the American Lung Association.

On Saturday 4/25/2026 a team of firefighters from the Orange Volunteer Fire Department will once again participate in The Fight for Air Climb supporting the American Lung Association.

Respiratory disease remains a significant health risk for firefighters and first responders and each member of our team has a personal reason for taking part in these events. All team members will climb 688 steps with full firefighting turnout gear and breathing apparatus.

As our members prepare for their race to the top, we ask for your help raising funds for the American Lung Association.

Last year the Orange Volunteer Fire Department team raised nearly $4000 for the American Lung Association. The OVFD was the 37th highest fundraising firefighting team in the country in 2025 thanks to all of you. Please consider donating to the team fundraising effort as we help in the fight to end lung disease!
