The Treasurer’s Office will remain open on Thursday and Friday during the Tulip Festival. However, please be aware that many roads leading directly to our office will be closed due to festival activities.

If you need to visit our office, please plan ahead, as parking may be limited and you will likely need to park several blocks away and walk to the office. For your convenience, we recommend visiting next week after the festival has concluded, if your transaction is not time-sensitive. Please check the https://iowadot.gov/ if your question could be answered online.

Please also note that road closures are beginning earlier than expected, and some streets started being blocked off today (Tuesday).

For Motor Vehicle services, appointments are not required; however, all transactions must be started no later than 4:00 p.m.

Sioux County Treasurer’s Office – Important Customer Notice

Our office serves the public through two separate departments:

🚗 Driver’s License Department (open 4 days/week, closed Wednesdays)
📄 Motor Vehicle Department (open 5 days/week)

We are currently experiencing a very high volume of customers on Fridays, which often results in longer wait times in both departments. To better serve you and reduce your wait, we strongly encourage visiting our office earlier in the week when traffic is lighter.

⏰ Important Reminder:
All transactions must be started before 4:00 PM. We are unable to begin new transactions after that time.

📅 Driver’s License Department:
Appointments are recommended to help minimize wait times, but walk-ins are still welcome.
