🚨 Attention Southridge Community!
The city is considering $14 million in bonds that would saddle each of the 255 new townhomes with $55,000 in Mello Roos taxes! This means future homeowners could face a huge financial burden while the developer maximizes their profits! 😮

Stay informed, stay involved!
----------------

Earth’s Greatest Enemy is the second documentary from journalist Abby Martin that uncovers a shocking blind spot in the climate conversation: the U.S. military.

Exempt from international climate agreements and rarely scrutinized in mainstream reporting, the Pentagon is revealed here as the world’s single largest institutional polluter—spewing carbon, contaminating water, and scarring landscapes across the globe. Combining investigative journalism, striking visuals, and stories from impacted communities, the film challenges audiences to rethink the hidden costs of a global military empire and its planetary consequences. Provocative, urgent, and eye-opening, this is a documentary that will change how you see both the military and environmentalism.

Please join in and share with others. It'd be great to be in community in celebration of Bad Bunny’s halftime performance as a powerful act of resistance to the Trump regime, and opportunities to learn about your rights and mutual aid support for immigrant families in need. . ❤️💜🧡

On Sunday some folks went to see Abby Martin's new documentary, "Earth's Greatest Enemy" at the amazing Frida Theater in Santa Ana. We're working with Organize for Peace to bring this important discussion to the IE next month. Let us know if you want to attend (or help make it happen).

Also, completely related to some of the discussion the movie invokes, here's a video about an old recruiting website of the Fontana PD.

I think it is time for a different type of recruiting video. A different type of recruitment process.A different type of Peace Officer. For Fontana -- and acr...

Last night's action in front of City Hall featured an array of folks who came for the vigil but learned about how the City of Fontana has been relentlessly anti-immigrant and wholeheartedly pro-ICE before Trump took office in 2017 and again in 2024.

One of the chants called out alongside the President. "Immigrants are welcome here."

Other folks offer shared experiences and issues of U.S. Government imperialism in the Phillipines whereby policies create forced migration and refugees. Many connected our government's funding of the genocide the Israeli government is doing in and the brutal and extrajudicial violence being perpetrated by ICE.

For a few pics of the event, see the comments and a small sign making gathering the night before.
